Soft, lacy, weathered and worn - a large, beautifully tattered Bahama sea fan is imbued with the faded beauty of beached treasures which both complement and contrast the antique bottle of deep amber glass that it crowns. A band of highly textured metal work rings the base of the bottle, adding weight and interest. This piece is moody and chic and is a stunning and artful testament to summer at the shore and would fit perfectly within any decor.

The gorgeous, heavily patterned Jade Turbo shell is a find from the Sea of Cortez and bears the variegated earthy hues of the seashore -- the subtle hint of sea salt, the wheat and browns of sea grass and the dreamy blues and greens of the ocean. A thick ribbon of mother of pearl swirls around the shell with a surprise of color which peeks out from a heavy band of sculptured solder. The cool and sleek metallic light of pink and sea green displays a beautiful juxtaposition to the heavy, sculpted solder washed in the timeworn hues of rusted and weathered iron. Serving as the pedestal to his specimen grade shell is a sea bottle of hand blown antique glass. It is much more than it seems on first glance... the glass is full of surprises...it has been folded so many times, giving it a wavy, watery dimension. For over a century the bottle tumbled through the sea before finding its way to the shoreline and being beached. During that journey, a patina reminiscent of the iridized Mother of Pearl worked its way into a masterpiece of nature and dons the glass with the same hues reflected within the shell. It is truly a brilliant piece of art that can stand alone, but would also be lovely as part of any of collections. A must have addition for the discerning collector.

Item #:SLBAJT-070118-L01
Add to the mix opulent leaded crystal and it is almost too much beauty to bear. This one of a kind piece of art is a wonderful testament to the above described beautiful contradiction and marriage of both the rough and the refined.

Peeking out between arms of farm raised Elkhorn Coral are flashes of light being refracted from crystal chandelier remnants while silvery pearls of solder dot the organically sculpted frame of heavy metalwork. The coral and crystal crown a vintage silver plated, beautifully shaped ornate Baroque vessel that time and the elements have eaten away at the bits of the sterling silver and left in its place a perfect patina. All components come together in a gorgeous luxe curiosity that looks as though it has always been one single piece and will grow even more lovely with time.

This one of a kind piece of art is part of our beloved Nightsea Collection and is stunning enough to stand on its own or be the perfect addition or start to any discerning collector's anthology of luxe curiosities from our design studio by the sea.

Commanding in size and mysterious beauty, an alluring dark sea fan coral crowns a rare 100+ year old bottle of pale sea blue glass. Weighty and-blown, the glass is thick and veiled in a soft white, giving it a dreamy underwater quality. An iridescence enshrouds the patina, seeming soft until light happens upon it at which point a confetti, in a riot of colors, appears.

Reminiscent of a winter bare tree, the limbs of the sea fan stretch skyward, showing each beautiful nuance. Seemingly growing from a seabed of solder, the massive sea fan is rich in texture, elegant in pattern and architectural in nature -- part of the beautiful symphony of both contrasting and complementing elements within this one of a kind piece of art. A stunning relic of the sea, it boasts warm hues which range from almost black to red-tinged cinnabar. thinning and fading to delicate sanguine tips. Deceiving in looks, the sea fan is not a plant, but rather a soft coral colony and has an ethereal translucence which is most lovely at the tips and bathed in light.

The Antique bottle is embossed to read, "Robert Gibson, Manchester England, E.C. Rich, New York, US Agent." This listing is for the center bottle only.

Evoking childhood memories of shell collecting at dawn with the sea gently lapping at the sand while seabirds call out as they glide along the crests of waves; this large and substantial sea life bottle will bring summer to you any time of year. A beautifully weathered and partially calcified bloom of barnacles is imbued with sea salt white along with variegated hues of mauve and lavender. Highly textured and beautifully unique, this seaside sculpture bears spots of calcification along its textured surface. Held fast by organically sculpted solder, reminiscent of the rugged seafloor, the bloom crowns a large sun purple bottle of antique glass that was found washed up from the Pacific ocean. Veiled in a pale ethereal patina, subtle flashes of iridescent colors appear as the light happens across the surface of the bottle, much like of mother of pearl. Perfect alone and would bode well as part of any of our seaside collections.

Highly textured and washed in the soft, timeworn, sunbleached and salt eaten hues of seafoam - a beautiful pink abalone shell displays subtle peeks of its iridescent mother of pearl through encrusted striations created over decades under the sea. Framed in heavy solder which has an eggplant and copper undertone, the shell bears both sides - its rustic crusty side and its highly iridescent side in equal beauty from its place atop a stunning, weighty, sun purple bottle that has been reclaimed from the sea. The Art of contrasting and complementing beauty is astounding here - the soft purple of the antique bottle is picked up on both sides of the shell and within the patina. Small solder pearls of sterling silver dot the perimeter of the shell - a nod to the blow holes diagonally above them. Remnants of the sandy sea floor are forever trapped within the walls of antique glass while the ethereal, pale white patina mirrors sea foam floating in tidepools. A dreamy piece that is a gorgeous work of art. Perfect for the discerning collector with a sophisticated eye.

Item #: SLBSPAB-070118-L01

Small in stature, a beautifully textured baby bear claw shell is held fast within the tendrils of rustic solder reminiscent of old, weathered iron.
A rhapsody of texture and tone in a petite package -- highly textured and organically shaped farm raised baby coral fades from beautiful ecru to the creamy white of sea salt. Binding the diminutive coral to its beautiful pedestal is heavy, sculptured solder washed in the weathered and variegated hues of copper which was left to the elements for years on end. The solder neck has been embellished with whimsically applied solder pearls that have been sanded back to reveal yet another layer of color. Speaking of color... serving as a pedestal for the coral is a 19th century English inkwell of stunning hand blown green glass. Wavy and weighty, the glass forever holds a plethora of tiny air bubbles, mirroring the heavy texture of the coral.

A symphony of texture and unusual beauty - Ancient looking and hauntingly beautiful, a petite horned shell boasts an amazing display of soft hues and tactile splendor. Calcification of pale pinks, lavender and greys cover, but fail to completely hide the smooth and iridescent under layer of mother of pearl — both contrasting and complementing the pale aqua green of the Victorian inkwell serving as a pedestal. A relic of a bottle it is -- gorgeous hand blown glass well over a century old boasts character galore with the organic texture and tiny air bubbles trapped within.
The lovely, heavily textured Rough Back Abalone shell in this piece of art is indigenous to the waters of Baja and bears quiet, soft hues of sea salt and the signature fiery hues of mother of pearl. Variegated shades of chalky white wash the highly textured side of the shell, and like hidden treasures, the opposite hues and texture - smooth mother of pearl imbued in cool silvery blues and greens swirl in iridescent beauty on the inner side of the mysterious shell. Heavy, sculpted solder washed in the timeworn hues of rusted and weathered iron forever bind the shell to its perfect match - an antique beach bottle of pale aqua blue, painted by time and the elements in a subtle patina of soft white.

Serving as the pedestal is a pale, golden hued amber bottle that spent decades beneath the sea. Soft sea-salt white calcification don the exterior in soft, curved striations created by a sand current deep below the sea.
Faded shades of red violets and taupey greys wash over the 3-dimensional rays of the scallop shell plucked from the cool waters of the sea of Cortez. Framed out in heavily sculpted metalwork, the shell crowns an antique sea bottle washed in a gilt gold-like patina created by time and the elements. If you place the shell in a spot where it is backlit, the light passes through and illuminates the lower portion of the shell, lending the illusion of a magnificent sunset.

Smoky reds and burnt oranges imbue this highly textured and gorgeous soft coral sea fan. Held fast in barnacle like metal work, the sea fan still sways as if still in the undulating currents of the sea as it seems to grow out of the sea floor of solder. Serving as the pedestal is an amazing 'black glass' bottle. Donned in an incredible patina of calification, rust and a riot of iridescent beauty, this 150+ year old bottle is a piece of art in and of itself. Weighty and hand blown, the glass has been repeatedly folded and in the light bears the hues of deep sage green. Seed bubbles are forever trapped within the weighty and wavy walls of stunning antique glass. A beautiful, beautiful piece celebrating the mysterious and ancient beauty found within the sea.
